On November 10, 2011, the Pennsylvania Insurance Departmentreceived a filing which seeks approval for a proposed merger of Harleysville Mutual Insurance Company with and into Nationwide Mutual Insurance Company. The proposed merger would result in a change in the ultimate controlling person of the six Pennsylvania domiciled subsidiaries of Harleysville Mutual Insurance Company. Theapplicant seeking approval for the merger is Nationwide Mutual Insurance Company.
